first post of 2006
well, after trying and sorting the number of lovely layouts made by these talented people at LJ, i've finally settled with the talented chertothepalla's Nobody. i think it's suiting. i'm currently unemployed, possibly hailing a job down, with a work in progess portfolio. so yeah. fitting. thanks chertothepalla!
i've made a tight schedule for myself for the next 5 months and blogging on a daily basis is part of it. if i'm paying for this i should be putting my mula to use. so any random readers or dear friends out there wondering what cliff i dropped off of, well, it's just good to be back and communicate again.
it's also good to get my thoughts on paper again, so to speak. i've been having moments while walking on campus just thinking of random and funny thoughts, wishing that i could be recording it all in my LJ at that very moment, yet no computer to my avil. and by the time i get to one i forget what i wanted to say. well, that's going to change! i hope! XD
so, quickly, behind a cut, i'd love to tell you what is up with me.
well, when the new year rang in, i was officially declared unemployed. after 6 years of working in the dental biz, i've quit. i actually gave my notice a whole year ago (yup, Jan 05), so it wasn't a big dramatic surprise or anything to my employer. but i have to really say that not going to work is a double-edge sword. on the one hand, it's great just to have days off to no end! to rest and relax whenever i want and not stress about putting enough hours in to get that ching ching. yet on the other hand, there's no ching ching. yup, my ass is ba-roooooooke! i'm not even going to get into the troubles about having no income, cause i'm sure some of you can relate. luckily, my kind & loving honey is giving me an allowance. not anything unreasonable, but enough to survive on a two-weekly basis. mostly goes to lunch, actually. but anyhow, thank you baby!
i am very close to graduating! woohoo! i have this summer and next fall semester and i am OUTTY! i simply cannot wait. i have pulled back a lot from the online thing because of studies, and it's paying off cause i'm really getting it together. 4 more classes, and i'm out. out, yo! honestly, can. not. wait.
i survived 6 weddings last year. 6 down, 1 to go. that'll be sometime in June.
my life nowadays is pretty much study and create. i'm working on putting my portfolio together. i have to redo a lot of pieces, but hopefully i can have the majority of it done by the end of summer.
haven't done any fanart in a while, and i miss it. i know i owe some people some looooooong overdue banners. it'll be one of the first things i finish. sucks that i gave myself that label of unreliable. that definitely has to go, and soon.
