why is buying a computer so hard? :\

I love it. You just go to a store and pick what you want, and they put it all together for you and you take it home and plug it in :\

Im one of those people that cant just go into one store. I browse about 200 stores, compare all specs and prices, and try to come up with the best possible decision. And I know next to nothing about motherboards and cpus and should I get an athlon or a pentium or dual core or gigabyte motherboard or asus or a crt monitor or an lcd which is supposed to have bad colour for graphics work etc etc

AHH its horrible I wish it was that easy!

Hey to make your life that little bit harder Im selling my old laptop. Its still pretty decent in terms of specs(1.5Cent, 512DDR, 64meg video), so really depends what your using it for. E-Mail me if you want all the specs.

And dreams, it was very odd last night, I started dreaming before I went to sleep, I dreamt I had mechanical spiders coming out of my hands, the legs would come out first then sort of spread out and twist so they could stand on my hand and pull the rest of themselves out of my hand.
Due to the fact that I was awake, I was thinking "This is a pretty &%^*(& up dream, why the hell am I dreaming this"

Im going to get a desktop so life is slightly easier in that regard.

Hey that dream sounds pretty cool. Besides the 'you being awake' part. Maybe you need to take your medication now.....(like Hurley last night)

Laptops are far more superior. I used to scoff at them, but now I cant imagine not having one.

Yeah the dream was kinda strange, I dont remeber any other details though.

I had a laptop for a while and it used to piss me off. I prefer desktops and they are cheaper!

okay how about I make it easier for you? :)

Work out how much you're willing to spend and don't budge from that.
Then work out what you're going to use the computer for.

Then go here: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/default.php

and buy yourself a computer.
It doesn't get very much cheaper than Centre Com.

You can even build your own computer:
