Closing Ceremony totally PWNED the Opening Ceremony!
How funny is John So? We counted the times the crowd roared when they called out his name - 5 times. And dead silence in between. That was freakin hilarious! Hes so cute!
Also at the end fireworks everyone in the neighborhood rushed out to the street and watched - best view, the fireworks lit up the sky at the end of our street it looked awesome. During the flashes we also noticed that we DO live near some attractive boys. We shall hang out in the street more often now.
Also Saturday night we attempted to watch Bollywood. I was so excited. We turned up over one & a half hours early to line up. But the entire population of Melbourne and India also had the same idea but obviously earlier than I did.
Seriously. Biggest. Line. Ever. They were already letting people in to the Sidney Myer bowl but the line was still snaking all over the hill, there were thousands of people, and hundreds walking along the line trying to find out where the hell it ended. It ended in this nutty big circle so the line kinda went in on itself. Theres a girl at the end with a microphone telling everyone else to leave because there was no way they could get in, and that even people lining up probably werent going to fit. Meanwhile the Aboriginal protesters that have set up camp in the gardens were taking this opportunity to get out their 'stolen land' placards and chant stuff.
So yeah. I missed out on my Bollywood experience. :(
