Wheeee Jason Concert last night!
It was amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing! Incredible!! I wanted to run up stage and pounce! AH! And wicked cool seats, 7th row, smack in the middle. Making me wish I hadnt listened to my dad and taken the camera. Dude I couldve not only taken pictures but recorded videos.. *sigh* You win some, you lose the rest.
But the concert was awesome. When we got there we went to look for the stand that sells the stuff and I got a poster, orange t-shirt, cap, and his signature pin: "i <3 Sex", lmao!! I'm surprised my mom bought it for me.. hehe. Also saw David Cummins there, haha. That kid is my kind of guy.. likes Jason and DMB!
First there was a guitar player from Hawaii named Makana. He was very good, tried this weird/cool technique at the end, which came out sounding cool. Then Jason came out with Raul Midon, who happens to be blind. The 3 did a song and Jason rocked the tamborine. Then it was Raul's turn to play and it was uber good. Like he tried to make it sound like a whole soul band was behind him which completely rocked. Yet.. I think there were a few people in the audience mocking him =\ Not cool.
Finally, after intermission, Jason came out. His first song was slow and pretty, then rocked out with You and I, and I swear I was about to have that heart attack. A lot of the songs were not from the album but that made it cooler. He did sing Remedy and Too Much Food. He also sang a song that he had written for his sister's wedding a few years ago, the lyrics were amazing. I want to see if I can find them.. hmm. He sounds the same live as in his album, which is incredible. He also talked and connected with the audience a lot which I loved. He's so laid back and wubbiful and.. me want. Hehe. Oh in the end the whole entire group came out (Raul, Makana, Jen Lo, and the DJ) and they did a pretty song about how something or someone always needs a pair, really meaning that they couldnt have done the show without us, and we couldnt have done the show with out the technicians who wouldnt be here if there parents hadnt done it.. at a truck stop.. or empty parkinglot... like at an In and Out Burger Place... *snicker* (Jason has a naughty mind!). Then they did a wicked rendition of Curbside Prophet, using skat and beat boxing and mad libing. Then sadly the show was over. But a DVD/CD is coming out of the live show, pre ordering it June 7th =]
I was on a high after it but nooooooooo the high had to come down thanks to a parental. Hmph. And now she just started yelling at me. Bleck.
Lalala nothing else. Today HP3 comes out. We were supposed to go see it with Puneet but I dont know what happened.
Oh great now I'm going to be yelled at again, for something I didnt do!
Mmkay.. so I'm resting today.. working on the thing for the library... then on a DJ layout for Lyssa and one for here.
Toodles~
