(no subject)
This week has been a welcome reprieve, so far. My research class is starting to show promise of living up to its name. Maybe. My Civil Procedure and Ethics professor has toned down the assignments somewhat, but continues to assign some 300 pages of reading per week, per class. At least I can do reading.
I am still pretty wrecked from the last few weeks, from the extreme ups-and-downs that culminated into a two weeks of pure anger. Halloween, and drinking in and about Halloween, has helped. I find I don’t really drink much, these last few months. It really does help take the edge off. Saturday I went to a party withepogurl, and met her friends. They seemed like an ok group. I got pretty tipsy. Monday, after I got done with class, I watched Evil Dead on DVD, and drank to get drunk. It felt really took the edge off.
Brass Monkey Open Mic Tuesday was pretty cool. I wished more people had shown up, and more still in costume, but it’s cool. I did my Devo set, in costume no less! I played a three song set - Girl U Want, Love Without Anger, and Whip It. You can only cover Devo so well with just an acoustic guitar, but it can be done.
This weekend I am working two shows, tonight and saturday. I don't know much about the bands playing, theough the poster for the Charms show looks promising. I also have research and writing to do.
Also, X and Juliana HAtfield are playing the Sonar loung eon the 30th! That pairing doesn't make much snese, but hell that will be a great show! Who's up for it?
