The likelihood that I would become friends in the first place with a political viewpoint that strongly differs from mine is unlikely. The few friends I have with differing opinions I make sure not to mention politics to. And I don't see them often enough for it to matter.
Point I wanted to talk about:
I'm kind of known as the 'poster child' for the GSA at my school. I was in a video that the GSA made for all outgoing freshmen about sexual orientation and respect, and then bam, everyone knows who I am. So everyone knows I'm for gay rights. Hardly anyone realizes I'm for everyone's rights. I don't care if you say that gays shouldn't be allowed to marry legally, that women should receive lower pay than men do, that all Native Americans belong on reservations only, or that Muslims should all "go back to their country" (and the list goes on). No matter what you say, and what the law says to demean any living person who has done nothing personal to you/the law I will be against it. Anyone should be able to have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
(However, if you are not a white landowning man it is unconstitutional for you to have those)
