More Time...

I was warned that there may be a bit of fatigue when the main drugs had run their course. Frelling doctors do enjoy to understate things. I'll see if I can get Dave to post a photo of what I look like when properly out of it (aka sick), so if in the future I tell you I am not sick you can believe me.

Between Berlin and Prague we stayed in a place called Dresden. The place is a washed out hole. The only good thing about it was that we were only there for one night, and I didnt have to worry about that much of it. If you cross over the river to the south there is a much nicer city that I cant remember the name of, but still no reason to visit there either.

Prague has so much tourist crap, you'd think it was their primary industry. Sure, there are a few nice things around, and they have quite a nice lot of small theatres and other attractions, but would be nice to have less gaudy tourist shops. The adptoption of the Euro will probably only make this worse.
Walked over 5 bridges (including the famed Charles bridge) and one hill (the second hill I cheated and took the cable car). Looking around, I have seen how police and ambulances get around, but I have no idea how fire services would manage. I am sure they manage, somehow.
There seems to be a significant of infrastructure and other tunnels below the city, but as far as I can find, they are not talked about too often. It may have been the two floods in the past 50 years, or they are all full of crap. Another one of those mysteries that doesnt seem to have answers in the standard English language tourist blurb.
Speaking of mysteries, they have a 75ft tall metronome on the site of the old Stalin statue. The site is significant, but I have not found out why a metronome.
