End-in-Borough

I have now ended the trip to Edinburgh, Scotland and am now back in London in the Kent Borough (get the pun in the subject now?)

For the last day I took a bus out to the end of it's assigned route, and looked at one of the small villages outside of Edinburgh. Being the end of summer everything is green and flourishing. They have some sort of park/trust service that maintains a few nature trails. Being a healthy curious lad, I wandered off the trail a bit to look at what they do not generally want people to see and saw what I was that they didn't want me to see. While the maintained walkway is a picturesque woodland complete with babbling brook, less than 10 meters off the trail there is a large amount of dumping of household wastes. If you follow the brook a little past the end of the trail, if becomes clogged with waste and eventually runs through a 3 foot storm drain and under a housing complex. At least the bits they highlight show how it used to be, including the "deadly" wildlife they have over here (Dave's trek up a mountain found slugs, my trek trough woodland found frogs and butterflies).
The last show I saw before bidding farewell to the Fringe festival was the One Man Star Wars Trilogy. A man from a strange country called Canada stands on the stage and re-enacts episodes 4, 5, and 6 in a highly compacted version with a reduced cast, and a few commentaries (such as the use of metric measurements against an imperial battlestation). A little physical action too as he re-enacts the falling MT-AT and AT-AT scenes.

Again, thanks goes to Keira (and Tom) for giving us somewhere to stay in Edinburgh for the busiest time of year.

8 hour bus trip was uneventful, and a lot better than the trip north (less people on the bus) so we laugh at Amy for taking the train (she was happier with her choice, we laugh anyway). Have a few days back in London to see whatever else I can be bothered seeing.
