My Mom is a teacher now. She is teaching Woman's Studies among other things at the College of the Redwoods. She says her first class was better than she could ever have imagined. Her students are way engaged and were able to tell her what they expected from the course. Her other class is on a Native American reservation--there she teaches a remedial English course. Also, she may have a shot at becoming the main (only) sociology professor at her college on a tenured track.

I'm just so happy for my Mom. She really deserves all this happiness.
It's strange though, my whole family teaches now. My parents are collage professors and I'm a school librarian. It must be in the genes.
