So I trained another new person at work. This guy seems promising. Very quick to pick up everything I showed him. He made a few mistakes here and there, but that's expected. Over all, he seems promising. This is a welcome change from the useless, lazy ass teens we've been hiring lately.
Oh, and why is it drunk girls flirt with me, and sober girls won't even look at me? Although I did have a good conversation with the drunk girl... well, she was "a little tipsy", and that's why she called for a delivery instead of coming out to pick it up. This is a strange town...
I hope everyone who has cold weather now is enjoying it. I hope it snows again this year. I just have to remember to get everything I need before the snow hits. This town... this side of the state even, closes down for like... 2 inches of snow. All these motherfuckers panic like it's the end of the world. I think it's funny as hell to see these idiots with four-wheel drive trucks sliding off the highway into the grass while I, last year in a 1985 Buick station wagon, was truckin' along like nothing was different. Sure I fishtailed a few times every once in a while, but it's nothing I can't handle... and I've proven that every time.
I remember like two years ago, driving a 1983 Chevy pick-up in the rain that belonged to a friend, fishtailing onto the highway out of McDonalds parking lot and watching people around me freak out like I was gonna crash into the ditch. I executed my slide perfectly. Floor it across the highway, break the rear end loose, slide the back right tire onto the white line, and straighten out.
I'm sorry, but I grew up in the north. Snow is fun. Not to mention mudding here in the south. Mud is fun, too. That, and growing up playing racing games as they have evolved with greater true to life handling physics. You just apply what you learned in a game, or in past experiences irl, and learn from that.
Sure one day I'll probably fuck up and crash. I actually expect that. But until it happens, I'll continue to have fun.
Thing I stole from... I forgot who...
