Kidney Transplant Trade
I think this is pretty rockin'.
Basically, people who needed a kidney and had a donor who didn't match traded their donors so that way everyone ended up with the donation they needed. Their donors still donated to them indirectly (since their donation assured that their loved one would be a recipient), and in the end, thirteen people got the transplants they needed.
Very, very awesome. Hopefully more programs like this will pop up.
