A winter weather advisory for snow remains in effect through tonight. Snow will increase intensity during the early evening, and continue through midnight, accumulating 3 to 5 inches before tapering off overnight.
A winter weather advisory for snow is issued when snow is expected to cause inconveniences such as travel delays. Those planning travel tonight should allow extra time to reach destinations as untreated roads will become slick and hazardous. Visibility will also be restricted to one quarter mile at times and make travel difficult.
