Is it really Sunday already? =(
Friday after work I stopped at the grocery store to pick up some ingredients for my cinco de mayo contributions. Came home and made chocolate chip Mexican wedding cake cookie things. They actually turned out pretty well. I thought they were yummy! And it was easy. I will definitely be making them again.
Nicole was around, so we chatted and ate dinner together, which was nice. =) We discovered we have a good amount of things in common in regards to our family life and our thoughts on some situations. We are starting to settle more and more, which is good.
Saturday I got up and went to the gym! I got there a little early and met Jackie outside the room. I had just planned on stretching, but Deb motioned us both to come in and participate in the last half of her other class. Yikes! As Jackie said, she is more of our hero now! It was intense and we didnt even do the whole class! lol. And Zumba was good as always. Love it! I had planned on staying for a half hour after that to use the elliptical, but that didnt happen. I am hoping I can drag my tired ass there today to do it instead.
After that, I walked home and cleaned the gym off. I had to run to the store again to get the ingredients I forgot for the cheesecake. I ran into Faith, so we chatted for a while. Then it was home to attempt the pina colada cheesecake. I was excited because it actually turned out pretty well! Maybe not the best cheesecake ever, but good.
Then it was off to the PBM festivities! There were a lot of people there, and good time were had by all. My "donde estan mis pantalones?" shirt was a hit, lol. So was the Mexican Border Cross obstacle course! HILARIOUS! It consisted of a sleeping Mexican, hoola hooping, limbo, pin the mustache on Selma, a Mexican hat dance, tequila shots, and more! I cant wait to see all the pictures from the night. It was crazy because a lot of people from various times in my life were there. Pete was there, and I hadnt seen him since like 11th grade I think. Olin was there, cause he works at Vic Firth now. It was just a mad hodge podge of people, which was neat. I think PBM will be growing some more. =) I was also excited that I felt ok for it. I was nervous about having anything to drink and eating a lot of heavy Mexican type food, but I was ok! I had probably a margarita and a half and I did a half a shot of tequila and later one of infused vodka. Overall, not too shabby. I also did sample some delicious foods. So maybe this whole not sitting around feeling like ass in my room most of the time is doing good things. Maybe my tummy was just telling me to get off my ass and get over a lot of the bullshit in my life. Maybe thats all just bullshit, but at least I felt ok last night.
Anywho... today I have to try and get out of my pjs, haha. I have to do laundry, bills, etc etc. Fun fun!
