Screw Good Friday...
Mine was freakin GREAT!
So... after much preparation... much nervousness... a rejection from BU... much self loathing... much waiting... more nervousness... a rejection from Boston Conservatory... too much self loathing... after nearly giving myself an ulcer and throwing up all over my front porch....
I GOT AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER!!!!
I will be entering as a graduate student in the class of 2010 at Longy School of Music come this fall!
First... Friday was Good Friday. It was also a day off from work! So instantly the day was pretty awesome. I was on my way out the door for a voice lesson when I saw LONGY pointing out of the mailbox. I pulled out a big envelope and placed it on the coffee table. I stared at it, got up and walked away, turned back and looked at it, picked it up, put it down, picked it up... I had to open it. I was home alone and literally screamed and started crying when I saw that they wanted me to come to their school! I am relieved and just ecstatic! Somewhere inside I knew that things would work out in the long run, and I really do believe that this is where I am supposed to go. I had a feeling about Longy all along, and my Mom actually said the same thing, despite the fact that she doesnt know too too much about any of the schools I auditioned for. So again I say screw Good Friday... mine was freakin GREAT!
