Sorry for the bad form of posting twice in less than three hours, but...
A Winnar Is I!!!!
Well, I hit one goal so far. I hit the dreaded 50k. Goal two is that I want to have the first draft of this thing done by the end of the month. Fortunately a majority of it is writ', and what isn't writ' is at least lazily timelined, and the relatives don't arrive until Saturday so I have two days of non-stress in which to stuff those scenes in.
But I. Seriously. Just wow. I DID IT GUYS. AFTER TWO YEARS OF SAILING A FAILBOAT I FINALLY FOUND MY SEA OF WIN.
Also, my two checks to the Department of State cleared this morning. I am assuming that means that passports are a go, which means we could have them as soon as a week from Saturday, but given that this is a holiday weekend and all that might be aiming too soon or something.
