So, the job I have right now is a temporary one. Yanno, summer position and all that. Considering the earliest I could get back to school would be in January in '09, that leaves a several month deficit in paychecks that is not conducive to tuition. So, I may be pushing back re-enrollment until Fall of '09 and trying for one of
these jobs. It's kinda scary. I just want to do the job. I don;t want to go back to school for two more years. That's a lot of money that I...don't have right now; but things also feel weird - I'll be 23 when I go back to school if I get one of those jobs (or one like it). I know that isn't that old; until you think that the 'average' age for graduating with a bachelor's is 22, 23. And I just have my associates...
bah, not thinking about that right now. Not at night.
I went and got a checking account today. So now I have checks and a debit card (or will, as soon as they're mailed to me.) Next step is a credit card - I'm looking at one right now that earns Amtrak rewards. I might get that, as I plan for Amtrak to become a regular part of life here soon.
In other news,
thejokerlaughs and
seeyourgypsy and I went out to dinner at Olive Garden and then invaded Borders bookstore.
I may have wandered the kids section and started a list of books that I need to have in my theoretical future library. The above is a constantly edited work right now. Hee.
Other discoveries this week: Mo Willems, the dude responsible for
Sheep in the Big City (my favorite Cartoon Network original ever, beating out Courage the Cowardly Dog and The Powerpuff Girls) also writes
kids books. I AM THRILLED.
And...that's about it. Need sleep now.
