This evening was better.
  • Got my split ends hacked off. Had one boss and a liked cowroker tell me they liked my hair.
  • got to see Steph (sorry I left without saying goodbye, Steph, I had to leave before Steve came over and tried to talk to 'Lila again. What where you saying? XD)
  • I watched the first episode of Heroes with Curtis. Pardon me while I squee over Hiro. He's so adorable. "THE DEATH GRIP, SPOCK, USE THE DEATH GRIP!!!"
  • Tricia Tanaka is Dead finally downloaded. Shambala = win song. I detect new LJ layout. The whole episode was just made of win, especially JIN. I have missed Jin this season.
  • I just got my score for parts 1 and 2 of 3 for astronomy. An 82 and an 84. Higher than I was fearing, thank goodness. That should leave me with either 2 As, 2Bs at midterms, if not 3 As. I'm hoping my math isn't off, but I know there is nothing lower than a B.
  • Spring break next week. I have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with no school and no work. Goals include deep cleaning room, getting my tax return sent in, loads of drawing, writing, making a new mood theme for my journal, getting caught up in Heroes, and maybe a little school reading. Maybe.

The King Of Sunset Town
A ragged man came shuffling through
A puppet king on the fourth of June
And butterflies from all around
Settled on his paper crown

A pretty sight it seemed to be
An avenue of eternal peace
But he said 'What is here can soon burn down...
I'm the King of Sunset Town'

Watch a big wheel turning around
Some go up, some go down.
Some go thirsty, some just drown
'That's the law around here'
Said the King of Sunset Town

And in the night he comes to me
And the square becomes a battlefield
Of staring eyes that can't explain
The insanity and the greater game

A ragged man came shuffling through
The corridors of this white place
And as he lay his body down
I saw the scars that lined his face
And injured souls came to his bed
To hear the stories he would tell
Of Butterflies and Summertimes

And everyone assembled here
Remembers how it used to be
Before the 27th came
This place will never be the same
And he said..
'I'm the King of Sunset Town'

Watch a big wheel turning around
Some go up, some go down.
Some go thirsty, some just drown
'That's the law around here'
Said the King of Sunset Town

Shambala
Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain
With the rain in Shambala
Wash away my sorrow, wash away my shame
With the rain in Shambala

(chorus)
Ah, ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Everyone is helpful, everyone is kind
On the road to Shambala
Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind
On the road to Shambala

(repeat chorus)

How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala
I can tell my sister by the flowers in her eyes
On the road to Shambala
I can tell my brother by the flowers in her eyes
On the road to Shambala

(repeat chorus)

How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala
Hong Kong Phooey
Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy.
Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye.

He's got style, a groovy style,
and a car that just won't stop.
When the going gets tough, he's really rough,
with a Hong Kong Phooey chop (Hi-Ya!)

Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy.
Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye.
Hong Kong Phooey, he's fan-riffic (gong!)
Smallcreep's Day: At The End of the Day
The day is nearly ended hurry home to your bed
My nights are oh so lonely come and lay down your head
The eyes of all our children growing heavy with sleep
And with one final flicker into a world full of dreams.

Oh I need you now through the lonely nights
And when the morning comes upon us
I'll be holding you so close to me.

The grass is never greener either side of the wall
If I am here or somewhere many miles away
For I have come to realize nothing changes at all.

Oh I need you now through the lonely nights
And when the morning comes upon us
I'll be holding you so close to me.
Hope For The Future
I've been feeling kind of down and loose
Like a Rosicrucian pope
Head down deep in the womb of time
Carrying a message of hope
My hands steady as a hangman's hands
Surer than the hangman's rope
I could sleep for invisible years
Carrying a message of hope
For the future

Carrying a message
Carrying a message
Message of hope

I found a power on a dusty shelf
Hey! the languages I learned
Now I'm so powerful I hurt myself
I hurt myself
I feel kind of limbic brain
Like the library of an astronaut
Found hidden in a pyramid
Shadowing a body of thought

Carrying a message
Carrying a message
Message of hope

Madam I'm Adam, I'm a palindrome
Never odd or even any time
Fishin' and smilin' like a garden gnome
Twisting tales and spinning lines
Why don't we twist like we did last year?

Carrying a message
Carrying a message
Message of hope

*I am very disappoineted with LJ. The full title of the song I am currently listening to is "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Some Money In My Hand," not "Phonebooth," but "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Some Money In My Hand" would not fit. SHAME ON YOU LJ.
