Hmm...
I dunno. Episode 3 lacked... oomph. Everything just sort of happened. There could have been so much more passion involved. It didn't seem like anyone was really torn, broken or seething with hatred.
The action was good, but action didn't make the original trilogy. What made the first trilogy was that when Han was being frozen, and Leia professed her feelings and ran to him, you really felt something. When Luke saw Obi-Wan cut down, you felt something. When Lando betrayed Han, you felt something. When Luke was first on Tatooine watching the sunset, you felt something. When the Empire was dealt it's death-blow, you felt something. And when Darth Vader goaded Luke into his berserker frenzy, you felt something.
I didn't feel much at all during Episode 3. I'll see it again, another go will help me grok it all.
