Fall
Well, things seem to be shaping up reasonably well. I've got my placement at Waynesville Middle School. I would have preferred something closer but alas, that was not to be. So it'll be two days in the fall and five in the spring. After that? Well, Lord willin' and the creeks don't rise, I'll be a teacher!
I actually got a new hat yesterday. No need to stop the presses on this one, but I will miss the old one. Still, it served long and hard and I guess has earned a nice, long rest. I can really tell this one is new since I keep babying it. Still, in time, it to will bear the scars of long service to a higher cause- keeping my hair somewhat orderly and occasionally providing a modicum or two of shade.
I really need to work on my newest poetry project. I had some great brainstorming about a week ago but I've not managed to get back to it yet. I guess time isn't really pressing- but still, it deserves a little attention I think.
Of course, with the words come the illustrations. I've given that a bit of thought as well. I may be able to get a little creative and take photos for this endeavor. They'll probably need some electronic tweaking but that's OK- I certainly lack the skills needed to draw my own. Might help to write some of it first, though- I need to stop procrastinating! Story of my life...
