[sticks his head through the doorway but doesn't see anyone; makes a face and decides to go a little further, finally hearing Mama and Mel whispering by the door]

[whispers, so he doesn't scare them] What are you doin'? [leans against Rebecca's legs, to see what they're looking at]

[rebecca_cain]

[smiles, knowing the news will make his day] Hey, kiddo. Garrett just asked your Mom to marry him and she said yes.

[maxthemonkey]

[looks at El, then back to Rebecca] She did?! [claps his hands over his mouth and his eyes go wide as he ducks behind El]

[rebecca_cain]

[chuckles at his reaction] Yeah, she did.

[maxthemonkey]

[grabs hold of El's pants and bounces in place] It worked. It worked!

[elari_brooks]

[laughs as he bounces] What worked?

[maxthemonkey]

[looks between his mothers] Miss Om-zma asked if there was a thing I wished, 'cause I was very- well [makes a face] kind of good. [pauses and makes another face] And if I was really really good, then she would give me a wish. And I tell-tooold her I wished for Mommy to stay happy. And she has been very happy 'cause Daddy is kissin' her and if they get married, then Mommy can kiss him all the time and she will still be happy and I still think kissin' in gross and Tyler keeps sayin' that I will like it when I am older but I am never gonna like it 'cept for if it is from you and Mama [gives Rebecca's hip a light poke] and Mommy and Grama and- [takes a deep breath] But, um... [makes a face as he realizes he lost track of what he was saying, making the same face Dree always makes when she loses track]

[elari_brooks]

[chuckles as he rambles] You are your mother's son.[winks at him]

[tousles his hair] Then you will have to find some way to thank Miss Ozma. [leans to kiss the top of his head] I am very happy that Mommy is happy too.

[rebecca_cain]

[smiles] How about we go out there and congratulate them? Then maybe we can all go out for lunch. [nods]

[elari_brooks]

[smiles] A special lunch. That way Dree will know for sure, that we're okay with this. Because I know her. She will need to know that in a very obvious way.

[maxthemonkey]

[grabs El's hand and bounces again] But what about Le-ora and TJ and Charlie?

[elari_brooks]

Go get them! The whole family may as well be there!

[rebecca_cain]

That's a great idea! I'll get James ready.

[maxthemonkey]

[leans around Rebecca and see Dree and Garrett kissing they way his daddy used to kiss her] Okay. [takes each of their hands] They are gonna be a long time. [nods]

[elari_brooks]

[looks at Becky] Do we want to spill the secret that we were watching the whole time? [nods toward the room} and interrupt them before they get carried away. [glances at Max, then back to Becky.]

[scrunches his nose and makes a face; looks at Rebecca]
