[stops at the door to Little Garrett's room and has a short conversation with the wall, then moves on again]

[listens to the babbling for a moment, smiles as he shakes his head, and then goes back to his work]

[reaches the door to the office and spots Daddy; beams] HI!

[garrett_cain]

[grins] Hi! What're you up to, Mister?

[points toward the living room and tells him about his adventure looking for Tinny]

[raises a brow] Oh, really?

[heartof_thezone]

[shakes his head and pouts] No Guur.

[garrett_cain]

[he pouts] No guur? [he's trying to figure out what Charlie wants to say]

[heartof_thezone]

[shakes his head] No Guur. [turns back toward the hall] Guur! [when tinny doesn't appear, he frowns again and starts moving toward the desk]

[he wants to play with tinny, but Tinny clearly doesn't want to play with him]

[it takes him a moment but he finally realizes what CJ is telling him] Guur, huh? [smiles] Maybe Tinny is at the ranch chasing chickens.

[comes around to Daddy's chair; raises arms] Up?

[garrett_cain]

[smiles; reaches down to pick him up] Okay, kiddo, here we go. [sets Charlie on his lap] Where's Mama?

[grins as Daddy picks him up; the toys on Daddy's desk are more interesting than his]

[twists his head to look back and up at Daddy; points toward the door] Dah. [leans toward the desk and tries to reach for the shiny pen, though he's nowhere close; breathes heavy with determination]
