Henry Thorp and Ethan Weber
Ethan Weber and Henry Thorp signed up with the Tin Men in their youth and became fast friends. Partnering up during training, the bond between the two men stayed with them long after and both of the men became the "faces" of the Tin Men. They were the epitome of what the Tin Men were all about and were revered by everyone they met.
because I just can't find the words...
Ethan Weber and Henry Thorp were legends. They were the Tin Men all future Tin Men aimed to be.
Right or wrong, black or white... during their reign, the Tin Men were elevated to perfection. Children were told stories about the Tin Men of the Outer Zone as if they ruled the land, not the royal family.
Ethan, still active in his old age, stuck with law, acting as a regional sheriff in the Eastern Guild. Henry wasn't as limber as he used to be, and decided to spend the rest of his days reliving his glory with the "boys".
If they weren't enforcing the laws of Central City and the Zone, Ethan and Henry could be found in the tavern, along with their fellow Tin Men. After many annuals, both men decided it was time to "retire" and went their seperate ways, still the best of friends.
Ethan headed East after his wife died and his life of leisure stopped short when he realized that he wasn't made for leisure. Instead, he volunteered his services to the people of the Eastern Guild and still managed to make it back to Central City and the tavern at regular intervals.
Henry's marriage didn't survive his tenure as a Tin Man - for which his daughter never truly forgave him - and could usually be found at the tavern, telling stories and enjoying the company of his friends. He also made regular trips out to the country to visit Ethan. Unfortunately, Henry passed away from heart failure.
This photo hangs in the hallway outside the lecture hall. There's also a copy of it hanging behind the bar of the tavern.
They've appeared in the drabble above, which is part of
Every Little Trait, However Small. One of these days, there will be an update to the
Tin Man!Adora 'verse, which will bring more of Ethan and Henry...
Benjamin Springer
Ben Springer has lived in the Eastern Guild most of his life. He's a farmer, his father was a farmer, his father's father was a farmer. They were farmers. He's pretty much the go-to guy around the Guild, and he loves being able to help his friends and neighbors.
Ben married the love of his life, Elizabeth (aka Lizzie), and they had one daughter, Adora. Unfortunately, Lizzie died when Adora was still very young, and her loss was tough on both Ben and Adora.
When Adora announced that she wanted to be a Tin Man when she grew up, Ben supported her and forced himself to let her go when the time came. He only wants what's best for her and he can see the sparks between his daughter and a city boy, Wyatt Cain... no matter how far away they are or how much Adora denies it.
So far, Ben's only appeared in the first part of
What is This Feeling?, but he'll show up again, rather soon.
