Summary: Why does Garrett wear scarves?
Travis watched Garrett walk past him - quickly. Suspiciously, a hand covered one side of his neck.
“What’s the hurry, son?” Travis asked, lighting his pipe.
“Oh, just…uhm…” Garrett stammered.
“Uh-huh,” Travis murmured around his pipe, white puffs of smoke floated into the air. “Move your hand.”
Hesitantly, Garrett did as he was asked and slowly pulled his hand away. Travis moved in to get a closer look. He smiled without Garrett seeing him. “You got a nasty bite there, son,” he commented as he untied the scarf around his neck and then handed it to Garrett. “You best put this on or your mother will have a cow.”
“Thanks, dad,” Garrett said, tying the material around his neck.
“Did you reciprocate?”
Garrett nodded. “Of course.” He started to walk towards the door when he turned and added, “But, her parents will never see it.” He smirked and opened the door, disappearing inside.
Travis tilted his back, his eyes narrowed as he nodded. “Great, just great.”
