FF4 review for jeff, dan and jim (if they care)
Intro
nothing too special but it has the "guess whos coming to your big town..." part from tunnel of love. so it takes you back to the old school type feeling. it works.
The People
ok, i like the icp/twiztid songs where they show the love for the people who follow em. but this icp one doesnt really have anything special in it besides a clevel lex lugar one liner. and the chorus is.... it just makes me shake my head and think, "oh god." and not in a good way. i enjoy their sentiment, but... this song is pretty much butt. [ but the skit at the end is appreciated. some more old school ]
Clown Walk
this songs just dumb. lately ive really not been liking the juggalo bullshit. and i can just imagine dumbasses doing the clown walk at shows and gathering type things and it just annoys me. you cant really catch all the vocals and i think the mixing sucks balls. the "put ya right foot up...." part is kinda cool. but thats really it.
If I Was King
icp made this beat, if i remember right. i wasnt sure about this song, but i like it. it reminds me of milenko for some reason, but it wont remind you of it. the beats good and i think this could have been on the calm only because it has that feel to it. icp should make more of their own beats. they know how to ride em. and i like the songs where icp tags off the lyrics every few lines. the chorus isnt amazing but it really fits the idea of the song.
Dear ICP
ok, this is old icp from like 92, i think. this song is amazing to me. it reminds me of why i like icp to begin with. shaggy has 2 verses and theyre both funny. J is on the last verse. its nice to hear some of the old violent lyrics directed toward women. you heard me. it was cool when they didnt really know about song structure and things so they just did whatever they wanted and were all over the place. its got crazy lyrics like, "youre nothing but a pogo. but ya cant fall in love with a yo-yo." who even knows what that means. 5/5 stars.
Madhouse w. Tech N9NE
ICP did this beat too. icp can get nuts in theme songs like this (house of mirrors, house of horrors, the amazing maze, ect.). and tech gets pretty crazy too. this song just didnt deliver the most it could have. also shaggy has kinda forgot how to rap in recent years unless its a project he really cares about. otherwise he just doesnt rhyme or keep on beat or anything. most the time it just sucks but when he pulls it off, its great. he pulled it off in this one. shaggy steals it, in my opinion.
Feels So Right
this song was cut from hells pit and thank god for that. this song is awful, no excuses. when J gets to the "one stab..." part its all good, but it cant save the rest of this piece of poop. the lyrics sound like a midnight glass song: "purched up like a gargoyle...."
Homies MEC Remix
its ok. beats not fun enough. new chorus. whatever. i like the original better, and the original isnt even that awesome.

I really like this one. its not an amazing track but i really like it. J and shaggy switch off every 1-2 lines and i always like those. chorus is good. kinda "bouncy" if u will.
Bodies Fly
Ok this song is probably in my top 5 as far as favorite song concepts. the image of all this happening just excites me (mentally). it was cut from hells pit but it should have been re-worked and kept on the album. i woulda loved that. its about how people in hell people just all of a sudden take off and fly into the air without warning and explode and then a blood shower explodes on everyone. i can see it. i imagine hells pit looking like hell in constantine. its great imagery. plus the chant: "put your hands in the air like you dont care that its fuckin' rainin blood everywhere" is the shiznit.
Wicked Rappers Delight w. Esham
this is a 5 minute song w/ no chorus and icp and esham just switch verses every 6-8 lines or so. eshams good in it and even though he probably doesnt bring anything too clever; icp more than makes up for that with some awesome lyrics. each verse just brings something crazy for five minutes. id compare it to sticky icky situations as far as feel. the beats not too exciting, but its meant to sound like old school. i really like this song a lot.
Panties
this songs from shaggys upcoming solo album. its like a lil jon song. a bunch of lines repeated over and over. i dont like one line because he rhymes back with back. c'mon now. but the song is really funny and awesome. and when you think shaggy you expect something like this when he goes solo. least i do. this song would piss any decent girl off or make any slut dance. i just hope shaggy raps on his cd. but these dance-yelling songs are cool too. just not too many at a time. great song though. i swear is a fucking dance song. it rocks.
If You Can't Beat Em Join Em
this song is some more old icp from the early 90's and just like the other one, this songs amazing. hearing old scrapped songs from back then is awesome. its also mainly a shaggy solo. old school shaggy is awesome. not too much to say about this. but if you dont like ICP much recently this song should really appeal to ya.
Nobody Move w. Mack 10
this seems like it would be cooler on a mack10 cd. the songs ok. nothing too great. kinda a gangsta song. chorus is decent at best. to me its something ill end up skipping most the time.
Yours Begins Tonight
this was cut from shangri-la and thats a blessing. the tune of the chorus is good cept the background vocals sound like shit and J is totally off tune and sounds like a dumbfuck. the shaggy/yelling part is really awesome and should have been put in something else. this songs got nothing special to offer besides showing the good moods they were in during 02 and for the simple fact that youre hearing something scrapped from the 6th. whatever. but it gets stuck in my head. so i dont know. its... god.
CPK's MEC Remix
its good and brings a darker feel to it. the beats quite good but i love the original (despite the fact its so short). im not too impressed with mike e clarks remixes on this, but whatever.
Swallow This Nut w. 2 live Crew, MC Breed and Vanilla Ice
this songs not as bad as i was expecting. kinda mediocre lyrics and concept thats been done a million times. shaggy has a good verse though. i think the saving grace of this song is the chorus. i think its pretty good. well done. this is a bad way to end this cd though. it just stops. they should have chose a different song or put a skit at the end of this track. but whatever. its not as bad as it could have been, but if they had put twiztid in there or something instead of the always shitty 2livecrew it could have been a lot better. hell abk could have done better.
