Being Human, I Think This Might Be Love

Okay, we need to talk Being Human. This show is giving me serious feelings. Seriously, epic feelings. I just...guh, I love it. I mean technically I've only seen two episodes (the pilot and the other pilot---thank you youtube!), but it has eaten my brain. I need to be working on Lost fic, but all I want to do is write a thousand George/Mitchell fics, which is inconvenient because I'm not even familiar with canon yet.

And what is up with that anyway? I rarely ever fall for slash pairings this quickly, but all I want right now is to read a billion stories about the boys cuddling and watching TV in their house and just generally being adorable. And possibly angsting because there's some serious potential for really good angst with that pairing. If anyone has any recs, they would be muchly appreciated. :)

Spoilery stuff about the original pilot under the cut. Is it considered canon? I didn't see much in the way of contradictions.

George!!! Every time he's on screen I start squealing like a fourteen year old who just bumped into one of those Jonas kids. I just love him so much. His ears! His excitement over finding the house! He wants a garden! he alphabetizes his books! And thank you to whoever decided to make him naked for like 40% of the episode. I owe you one.

The scene in the hospital where he thought about killing himself to keep from hurting his ex? Killed me. Oh, my poor boy. I've missed having a werewolf to love.

I think I actually prefer the new Mitchell. It could just be because I saw the other guy first, but i think it has something to do with his line deliveries. They were kind of...Draculaesque. He does have a gravitas about him that the other guy doesn't, but I think current Mitchell brings more of an innocence to the role that I like.

Still there was close talking with George. And he had his legs draped over him at one point. And I kind of just want to squish them together. Ahem.

I love original Annie! She's a not as morose as new Annie. I like new Annie, but man the other girl cracked me up. And she saved George and George's ex!

The only thing I'm not feeling about the show is the vampire politics stuff. Apparently, being turned into a vampire is like signing up for a pyramid scheme? Then again I will happily overlook my disinterest in the vampire revolution if it means I get to spend more time with these awesome people.

The scene at the end in the pub made me grin.
"No one ever says Slytherin."
"That's because that's like admitting you're a sociopath."

Also, I just bought "Common People" by Pulp off itunes. I'm easily influenced.

werewolves are cooler, tv: being human
