+ MARGAERY, MY QUEEN. I love how she plays the game; she's just so good at it, and in a way that really, really baffles Cersei, which is just a bonus. There is not one single thing I didn't love about her stopping in Flea Bottom and actually interacting with the people. The thing that I admire the most about Margaery is that when she says she wants to be The Queen, she means it. She wants the power, yes, but she wants to actually rule too, and to do it in a way that doesn't lead to angry mobs trying to rip her limb from limb as she walks down the street because she is letting them starve and doesn't give a damn about it. GAH. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

+ The Shae/Sansa scene was lovely, as always. Shae remains one of my very favorite show characters. Her "I always look after her" line to Roz slayed me. I'm a bit dismayed by how they're playing the LF angle though. Does this mean no [Spoiler (click to open)]Ser Dontos?

+ Tyrion straight up broke my heart. Stupid Tywin. He's hurt all of his kids in so many ways, which is something Charles Dance almost made me forget last season when he was telling Arya stories about teaching Jaime to read. Seriously though, he is the worst.

+ Hi, Bronn. Thanks for still being awesome. And also, POD. MY SWEET BOY. He didn't back down because Tyrion told him to bring Bronn and he is the best squire of all the squires and OMG is it season four yet because I am so ready.

+ Jon and The Giant! <3

+ Selmy's reappearance was cool and I'm not even that into Selmy because of my beloved Jorah.

+ Speaking of Dany's story, it was coherent! And cool to look at! And she never once screamed about her dragons! This is what I call progress. The introduction of The Unsullied was appropriately unsettling (but they didn't mention the puppies, which is in my top 5 most scarring things GRRM has ever dropped into the story). The dragons looked amazing. Jorah was perfect, Dany felt like Dany again. Yeah, I'm happy with everything that went down in the Dany area.

+ I actually liked the changes to Davos's return to Dragonstone. Although seeing Stannis ordering the guards to take Davos to a cell was heartbreaking. That is your Onion Knight, ser!

+ Now we get to the parts that made me want to throw things. First and foremost, Sam damn well get his BDH moment later because otherwise I'm going to be ticked. I did love that Ghost saved him (oh my boys), even if I was baffled as to why Ghost was there and not with Jon. I won't argue that point too much though because of shippy reasons.

And the Old Bear's just going to have to chill out on the ravens thing, what was Sam supposed to do, ask the army of White Walkers to step aside while he sent a message to Castle Black? Geez.

+ GUYS, NOTHING ABOUT THE WINTERFELL SCENES MADE SENSE. What was that? Who killed all of the Northmen? Why is Robb being such a jerk? WHY IS NO ONE MENTIONING RICKON AND BRAN? Cause if they think they're dead, Catelyn is taking it pretty well. No seriously, guys, WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THIS STORY? I can't…I just…LET'S MOVE ON.

Never mind, I'm a dummy and that was Harrenhal. Apparently there was a battle? Which, of course, that makes more sense because of...future things. Note to self: pay more attention to the dialogue. Robb is still being really freaking un-Robbish though.

+ I cannot look at the dude they got for Mance without remembering his stupid Bill Clinton accent from Political Animals. Obviously, he's much better here, but I stopped watching that show because I could not take the man seriously. He's not at all the Mance I had in my head either, which isn't his fault, but it still factors into my dissatisfaction.

Also, Jon's reason for wanting to join up was mighty flimsy. How did that work? (And where is Val?)

+ I understand that they now have 5 billion characters to deal with, but I was more than a little disappointed about having to wait until next week for Brienne, Jaime, Arya, Gendry and Osha action.
