It's hot and completely grounded in character--I love the idea that Karen gets off on his accent. Also this line: He proceeds to talk like a hard-boiled poet, wrapped in tobacco and soaked in moonshine, while he fucks her. That is such a vivid, stunning line. My jaw dropped a little, not even kidding right now.

I LOVE EVERYTHING THIS FICLET CHOOSES TO BE.
