I'm not subscribed, but I could see about half of a painting. Isn't that the death of a British General at, I'm thinking, Quebec? I've seen it many times before, but I have the memory of a sieve.
It's "The Death of Wolfe" the most famous painting of the French and Indian War and the article with the illustration talks about how this painting symbolized the War itself.
