Happy birthday to me!
Well, except for some annoying comments from the male family members at dinner, I had a pretty good day. I watched part of the Macy's parade (just about died at the Humpty Dumpty balloon... er, you probably are better off not asking) and then I opened my presents, which entertained me until we had the big turkey dinner. Er, the presents entertained me, not the opening of them; there weren't THAT many!
I got:
-a computer game (it's a puzzle game with a bunch of levels, you've got to line up the little gems and relics in this Mayan temple thingy and turn the background to gold... there are like 180 different boards or something so it'll take a while to get through, heh. And of course the whole thing makes me feel like I'm doing an immunity challenge for Survivor: Guatemala.)
-a Michael Buble CD
-a big container of mint chocolate chip meringue cookies
-a box of chocolate and orange candy sticks
-a BEAUTIFUL Chinese jade bracelet... I think the metal part on it is brass or something... anyway, it's gorgeous!
-a promise that my parents will (FINALLY) take me to see the Harry Potter movie on Monday, as well as a promise for dinner with them. (Only thing is, I don't get to go dressed as Snape like I would've liked to do, since I have a job interview earlier in the day, and somehow I don't think coming to the interview as Snape would leave the world's best impression)
-and... something that will make the Thomas half of pleroyalfamily squee with joy and envy; a hardbound volume containing all seven books of the Chronicles of Narnia.
That's not counting any out-of-town presents... and not counting the lovely banner that crucioveritas made and posted in her journal... *turns BEET RED again* *squee!*
