Peace in the Middle East
Dear friends, I would like to share with all a few of my thoughts on ways to bring peace to the Middle East region.
To bring peace to a region requires peace education. Our minds are like a beg, whatever enters, stays there, like an information stored on computer. To assure security it is wise for governments to invest efforts and resources into peace education. Use marketing. Place peace messages on posters, billboards in cities, villages, on roads that teach people that peace is good. Just like how municipalities advertise messages that they want a clean city, like “Our city is clean”, etc., place messages that our country is peaceful. Instead of drawing swords, draw doves and olive branches.
The spiritual practice Falun Dafa teaches that there was dross even in ancient times.
“Let me tell everyone that there was dross even in ancient times. Though some things may have been inherited for years, they might be incorrect.” (“Zhuan Falun”, lecture four)
This is a poem from Falun Dafa teachings and it can be placed on billboards (there are translations of it available in other languages, like Persian, Hebrew and others:
“What Is Belief
What is belief in Gods
Your desire to protect religion is so strong
Only by giving up attachments can you walk on a divine path
Be kind like a lamb, in the words of a holy one
A holy war is one between heavenly Gods
A fight among people over beliefs kills beings and harms lives
Unkind hearts can reinforce demonic nature
Gods will not let people into heaven with hearts for killing
What is belief in Gods
Giving up human notions and evil thoughts-heaven accepts only kindness

Educate people that killing, taking innocent life, suicide bombing etc., does not please God in the least and does not bring an individual closer to God. In fact, killing generates massive amounts of karma. Invite spiritual figures to talk about it.
Invite Falun Dafa practitioners to schools to teach children the practice of Falun Dafa which brings peace.
“School of Happiness” project
Another way to facilitate peace is a project called “School of Happiness”, in which children plant orchards together. Invest resources for young children both from Israel and Palestine to come together to plant orchards of happiness and peace. Children have pure thoughts and clean hearts. Children should play the leading role in the project, while adults can play a supportive role (help to prepare the ground for planting, drive children to the place, arrange for irrigation and watering, etc). Children should not be forced, though, but be invited, and come out of their own volition. Children of Israel and Palestine coming together with their pure thoughts and heart to plant fruit orchards. After planting, they can play together. Trees have a tremendous power to harmonize the environment. When planting children can share their thoughts and dreams of how they envision their future, a peaceful land, a harmonious land. There are many such projects that were done in Russia, you can seek guidance on how they’ve done it. Of course the trees should be native to the land, perhaps olive, fig, dates, carobs etc.
This will ensure that the next generation will not hate each other, will see that “those behind the fence” are humans too and perhaps, one day, there will be no need for the fence.
And lastly, as a Falun Dafa practitioner, I recommend introducing Falun Dafa to your communities. In India, there are many schools that have everyone, from students to principles practicing Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa brings happiness. Happy people would not want to fight and kill, even if you ask them to. No one can seduce them to do atrocities, because they are happy and content. Bring Falun Dafa to your lands.
