Clamp Gakuen Tanteidan

Last year, with the contest for a question for Clamp on chibiyuuto's journal, someone asked if Clamp Gakuen Tanteidan was always meant to be three books long with unrelated stories and open ending, or if it was supposed to continue and eventually get a leading plot.

Since then, I gave a look in my various Clamp ads and Clamp Gakuen Tanteidan title pages and here's what I found out:

1) The first four chapters that were published in the Asuka magazine are numbered 1, 2, 3 and last. So it seems the clamp gakuen tanteidan project was originally supposed to be a single tankoubon long with four stories (the old lady at the Tokyo Tower, the thief bird, the missing peacock and the angry blood girl).

2) Few months later the series is continued in Mystery DX and Comedy DX. The chapters are no longer numbered, but in an interview with Clamp in the November 1993 issued, after being asked why Nokoru is such a feminist, Ohkawa answered "continue to read Mystery DX and you'll find out". This wasn't revealed in the end, so there must has been some more story in store when Clamp put the project on hold.

3) In several occasions between 1993 and 1997, the Clamp Gakuen Tanteidan series was noted as a series in progress. Past 1997, it seems Clamp gave up on this series, prefering to work on new projects instead.

Will we ever get the end of the Clamp Gakuen Tanteidan series? I doubt it.
