Unexpected Giggage
So, ulverrson called a couple of nights ago with a bit of a bolt out of the blue....
"Do we want a gig on Saturday?"
I blinked.... LOTS!
A little short notice, to be sure, but seeing as though beggars can't be choosers, and what with ulverrson's work shifts effectively limiting us to Saturday and Sunday nights these days, I was keen, but seeing as though wren_a was still out I said we'd have to get back to him....
Still, in a nutshell, it seems that this guy that works at the same call centre as ulverrson, well, his band had to pull out of a gig at short notice, and the guy organising it had asked if they could suggest someone to take their place, and so he put him in touch with us, or was it us in touch with him?
So, I get this guy's phone number last night and call him up. Seems things were pretty organised, except for a drum kit, so we solved that particular problem, and now we've just got to sort ourselves out with a set list. It's a good job we were planning a late night rehearsal today anyway. It's funny how things like that work out sometimes.
But, we have a gig in Drouthy Neebors on Saturday night.... *BOUNCE*
