Craft Loyalty Program Schemes

Mar 08, 2009 14:36

Hi guys. I'm doing some research for the craft store that I'm opening up at the end of the month and I was just wondering if I could pick your brains on store loyalty programs? [Mods feel free to delete this post if it's not allowed.]

At the moment Morris and Sons [my store] doesn't have a loyalty program and we're looking to implement one but we're trying to decide which one. So my questions for you are:

- What kind of scheme do you like best?

- What kind of scheme would bring more people back to the store?

- What kind of rewards are you attracted to the most?

- Do you prefer schemes where you get your discount off straight away? E.g. card holders get an extra 10% off straight away. Or do you like the ones that you accrue points and then get a gift voucher every 3 months?

- Are you more likely to buy more if you get the discount straight away or accrue the points?

- Does it put you off having to spend say $5 to get 1 point?

- Would you pay a small fee to get a lifetime membership discount card?

- Do any of the craft/yarn stores that you go to have loyalty programs and are they good? Do you use it? Is it worth it?

Any other comments to add?

Thanks,
Luv Bali.
