So last week Holly [
hollycaust] said she was looking for two particular editions of Knit.1 mag and I said I'd try and find them in Mag Nation. Well I found one so that was good and it just so happened to be the one with Amigurumi patterns in it. How nice. Hehe. So the other day I decided that I'd give one a go [I photocopied the pages for my own use]. They're all animals from the Chinese zodiacs. So I tried the rat one and well I guess I wasn't paying much attention to what I was doing and the head ended up much bigger than it needed to be and it looked more like a human than a rat. No worries I'll make it into a human then. So I did and here's what I ended up with:
Sir Peeki has retired to QLD to my friend Debb's house. Debb is the most incredible person ever. So very very giving. She'll do anything for you. She is also extremely sick and was basically told by her doctors/surgeons to go home and die because there's nothing they can do for her, but she's a fighter and I know she'll tough it out. :) She sent me a lovely present last week. It was one of those decorative spoons with a tea cup and saucer on the top. It's a congrats on your new job present she said. So Sir Peeki is my present to her to say chin up and all will work out.
I decided that it wasn't just enough to send Debb Sir Peeki. He had to have a story to him aswell. So I wrote her a letter explaining who he is and why he's coming to visit her.
Sir Peeki Ami is a world famous orchestral conductor who is now wanting to retire to the quiet life with Debb and her dog Argyle. He has played with many many orchestra's around the world but now feels like it's time to slow down. He likes reading the Sunday newspaper outside on the deck, long bushwalks in the forest and general lazing around. He likes dogs so that won't be a problem. Sir Peeki has never married or had children. He rather likes his own company. He's not one for fashion and can get away with wearing a purple scarf because it suits him. He's also never without his black top hat. And that's about it. :)
Luv Bali.
