aletter2elise - fantastic artwork! I really dig the details - the differences in Chris and Toby's expressions as they run free is particularly telling and jutaposed with the downed guards it reiterates the differences in their personalities, the things they are willing to do or think are necessary, acceptable. There's determination in Chris' face, escape and Toby being his two considerations. Toby's face reveals uncertainty, an element of self-doubt, an ultra awareness of everything and everyone around him, the cost of everything.
torolulu - totally dig this story and it works as a beautiful companion piece to the wonderful artwork. I like this less than romanticized take on Toby and Chris escaping Oz. You capture the connection between them but also the tension, the difference that can't be avoided or denied. There's this great sense of humour throughout the piece which really makes it feel like I'm listening to a story being spoken personally to me. It works really well with the the idea of seeing them outside of context, outside of Oz. I like that things are left wide open at the end. There's no telling what comes next for them, just an openness towards this unwritten future, one in which anything can happen.
