Wow, the plot has really started to speed up! And Arakawa's beginning to draw back on previous one-off characters or happenings and tying everything together. I'm guessing the manga is definitely in the final stretch now. Again, her characters don't break my heart the same way they do in the anime, but I still love them, and wow, the plot is great.
Spoilers are ordered not to die
Oliver Armstrong continues to be made of win, especially her duel with her brother as an excuse both to send their family away and to take over from him! Anyone who can beat Major Armstrong is truly formidable, not that we didn't already know that about her.
Hohenheim is a philosopher's stone what?? I am kind of confused. Does this mean the homunculi are philosopher's stones as well, or does the way Hohenheim was infused with the stone make him even more special somehow? Also, huh. I guess he's not evil after all, and not even that awful of a person, although I'd still like to know why he abandoned his family for a decade or so. I am also guessing that Hohenheim will end up sacrificing something somehow to help Al get his body back. Maybe. Unless Al will find his body on his own, since he's had several bouts of unconsciousness lately. But maybe they still need the energy from the philosopher's stone to transfer Al's soul?
I am so worried about Al right now! He keeps almost escaping the creepy grasp of Pride and then not. And he now has a stone! I have no idea what he will do with it.
The clone army is incredibly, incredibly creepy.
I also have no idea who is with whom right now, as people keep meeting up and then splitting up and then meeting up again. It is very confusing!
I want to yell at all of them for not squashing Envy when they had a chance. Seriously people! You all know how hard it is to beat a homunculus, and you all know he was up to absolutely nothing good!
And though May's decision to bring Envy with her back to Central was incredibly stupid, I don't care, because I like having the Xing characters remain in the story. Speaking of which, Lan Fan is back, yaaaay! And i have no idea what's going on with Greed and Lin, save that clearly Lin knows more and has more influence than he's letting on to Greed.
Also, every time we cut back to Mustang and co., I cheer. They are all so awesome! And OMG Havoc YAAAAAY!
And! Izumi is back in the picture! As is Rose, but she is much less exciting. Rose for one doesn't tunnel into Northern fortresses and threaten people and then tell them they're under attack by a housewife. HEE!
In conclusion: plot!
