(no subject)
My boy is funny.. he plays Project Gotham and does funny little dances in the chair when he thinks I'm not looking. Then he does these weird little counterpoints humming to the theme music. Hee!
Got new shoes today. Not fashionable at all =(, but very comfy Timberland sneakers that I can wear at work and not die on my feet. Unfortunately, my stylish boots don't quite do that, sigh.
I also got to eat dinner with my dad yesterday. He was here all week on a business trip, but only had free time yesterday, since his flight was leaving that night. So we went to a fancy French restaurant, and I stuffed myself with carpaccio (always good), an excellent wild mushrom salad with endives, all in a basalmic vinaigrette, and scallops for me. Then a pear tartlet for dessert. The boy had an absolutely sinful chocolate truffle cake... it was one of those warm chocolate cakes, dark chocolate, with a melty chocolate interior. The outside was that just right consistency, just slightly toasted, and broke away to the middle, with vanilla gelato on top. Yum. I figure despite the not fitting in my old clothes, I should eat all I could because it's not that often I get treated to fancy French food.
I desperately want to see RotK. Why isn't it out yet? I even reread the book... ok, I skipped over all the Frodo and Sam in Mordor parts and focused greatly on the Eowyn and Faramir chapter. I find it incredibly sad that Bernard Hill and PJ made me love Theoden so much in the movies, because it just kind of really hit me that they're going to kill him off on RotK. Sigh. I'm also trying to convince myself that PJ has to put in the Houses of Healing, or else he's going to leave Eowyn and Faramir at the brink of death or something (or unhappiness) without ever resolving it. Booooo.
