STILL SO CUTE!

(I know, I know. I swear, I will stop talking about this soon. Maybe. But it's SO CUTE!)

shewhohashope, which scene were you thinking of?

OMG SO CUTE! OMG TEH ANGST!

I heart Han Kyul so much! I may have teared up during his little speech about trust shut up. I felt bad for him when nearly all the coffee princes were badgering him about Eun Chan; of course I want him to forgive her, but I thought he had a pretty good point. And wah, the shop was so sad without her and Manager Hong! I never thought I would be so fond of the coffee princes; they seemed like eye candy at first, but I am totally in love with how adorkable they are.

I may have also laughed hysterically when Sun Ki and Ha Rim are in the bathroom, wondering just how much of their penises Eun Chan saw.

And oh man! Even cool Sun Ki gets sad! And I hated Min Yeop when the drama started, but I adore him now. He is just so dorky! I love the scene when Eun Sae breaks up with him and he sort of runs around like a mad man, yelling and lifting random things. He doesn't even throw them! He just picks them up and runs around!

I love that Eun Sae tries to feed Eun Chan stuffed pig intestines when she is sad! Awesome. And how both Eun Sae and her mom complain a little about how much she cries, but they're also there the entire time.

And oh man, Han Sung! Yoo Ju! OMG TEH ANGST! I was terrified that Eun Chan and Han Sung would end up getting together for a bit because that seemed like unnecessary drama, so I adored the scene where they meet and are just there and trying to be supportive and friendly. It's so cute!

And Han Sung and Han Kyul! There's always been that rivalry there in the background, and I love that they talk about it and I love Han Kyul telling Yoo Ju that she and Han Sung were so solid he couldn't get in between them, and I love Han Kyul SO MUCH for going over to Han Sung and apologizing and standing there like a dork telling Han Sung to hit him back! And the way he's jealous and admiring of Han Sung and Yoo Ju's relationship! I am amazed at how much this show has been avoiding the Big Misunderstandings; everyone talks to each other! Sanely!

And Han Sung at the airport WAAAH! And now they can't find Yoo Ju oh no! Possibly I may have gone back to ep. 2 to rewatch the Han Sung/Yoo Ju get-back-together scene with the incredibly sexy part when he leaves her by the gate and then comes back and just kisses her and OMG. I just love that they've been together for ten years and how patient Han Sung is. I know I say this about a billion times each write up, but I love Yoo Ju too and how she's the one who freaks out about relationships and commitment. I could go on and on about the parallels between Yoo Ju and Han Kyul, and Han Kyul and Han Sung, and etc. etc.; it is so fascinating how the show keeps building on past relationships and situations, making each new situation that much more complicated.

But! What I really wanted to say was: CHESTNUTS OMG SO CUTE! I am so glad the show did not drag out the Han Kyul/Eun Chan separation. I think it killed the dramatic tension for some people, but I am really curious to see them buliding a relationship, as opposed to getting into one, and I am completely hooked on what has happened to Yoo Ju oh noes! But anyway. CHESTNUTS! INCREDIBLE CUTENESS ON PARK BENCH!

I need to find out who plays Han Kyul because he is awesome. He does the "I express my affection via grumpiness," which usually annoys me in the guy characters, only he's so transparent about it, and he sucks at staying grumpy, so it is incredibly cute instead of stupid and annoying (Jin Hun from Kim Sam Soon, I am looking at you!). I love the way his hand shakes a little before he wipes the tear off her face! I love the way they are both completely dorky on the phone and they're both jumping up and down and running around out of nervousness and the way Han Kyul just slides down on the sofa when she says she loves him. And I love the mock grumpiness right before he's all, "I love you more, so there."

In conclusion: CHESTNUTS! SO CUTE!

ETA: I forgot! I was a little offput by the "She's a girl" scene, although I am handwaving it in my head and pretending that Han Kyul is a) showing Eun Chan he is ok with not-typically-feminine women and b) acknowledging the ease of being heterosexual in a heteronormative society and the prejudices against gay people as opposed to celebrating heteronormativity. Also, this was mitigated by him trying to take her into the guys' bathroom with him while being so totally in love with her.
