This is going to be my general terms, defininitions and disclaimers post, so I don't have to write a massive disclaimer in front of every post I make. In fact, the statements in this post probably hold for most or all of my others on race as well.

It would be good to have this and maybe a few other well-informed people's perspectives on the same terms be the basis for a Racism 101 at Wiscon. Maybe as part of a handout?

Your post reminded me of an exhibit I saw at the Walker Art Center by Kara Walker. Have you seen her work?

Hee, I'm not sure if I'm the expert, though a Racism 101 would be nice.

I love Kara Walker's work! I first saw some years ago in Cambridge, MA, and she did a great exhibit at the Met in NYC last year.

Very useful--I'll be linking to this in my IBARW posts for sure. (Still don't have enough topics to write about though, and they'll probably be near the latter half of the week.)

Latter half is good too, esp. since I think the volume will die down a little, thanks to Vividcon being over the weekend.

I am going to be putting up an anti-racism/pro-CoC newbieguide. Right now, it may just go up with link to comms, but I hope to eventually get links to some of the meta that most crystalizes various issues.

Can I link to this as a definitions post?
