Ogawa Yayoi - Tramps Like Us, vol. 09-10 (Eng. trans.)

Ah yes, I now remember why I usually end up falling off of series when I can't read them in giant chunks. Everything feels like it's happening too slowly, and too much time between volumes leaves me completely forgetting what happened previously.

Anyway, is this series over? I'm getting a feeling that possibly it's wrapping up? Either that, or Ogawa is plotting to get Sumire and Momo together, or something. It's sort of odd; I feel like I've been waiting for that for forever, but it's also a little odd, because I've been so used to the not-quite-romantic relationship that they have.

I feel rather bad for Hasumi, re: Fukushima. She seems very annoying. But I'm also a little irritated that he doesn't just kick her out if he doesn't want her there; stand up for yourself, Hasumi!

I also hope Momo doesn't end up coming down with some sort of manga-esque consumption.

On the other hand, Sumire talking herself out of whatever she's feeling by attributing it to the suspension bridge effect feels very real, and I particularly like Momo's note that he needs to wean himself out of needing other people to need him.

Wow, that was complicated!

One part of me feels like some very big stuff happened in these two volumes, but the other part of me feels like we're just waiting for even bigger things to happen, so I'm withholding judgment for now.
