Cracked up laughing at #11. So ironic and so sweet at the same time!

OMG those images of wee Gaara and wee Naruto and Gaara being all alone totally killed me in the manga.

And they KEEP APPEARING and they KEEP KILLING you. I was really surprised I didn't get sick of them even as they totally worked every time.

I know! Kishimoto is really good at doing the repetition and having each iteration be even more emotional because of all the repetition from before.

Wah, ok, I am totally confused now... Is there something really funny about the Gaara icons that I am just not getting?

It's just the brutal irony of "It takes a village to raise a child" and Gaara's upbringing.

Oh, heh, yes, that does make sense! I was thinking more straight humor than irony and getting confused. I am glad that in the end, the village is sort of getting its act together, though I still want to slap a lot of people there.

Gaara's storyline really is what made me a hardcore Kishimoto fan. It takes a lot for me to do a 180 on how I feel about a character.
