Now it's Chinese New Year.
I owe people stuff. Like the Boyfriend. What to get him for Valentine's and his birthday...
Gosh. Suddenly, I'm really interested in making a building collapse on another building. But the Boyfriend says that's structurally impossible due to precautions taken during construction - such as the Bird Nest method of constructing the supports of the building... so it's impossible to use just dynamiting to make one building collapse upon another... unless, well - you've got grappling hooks to pull said building into the one you want it to crash into.
Then I wondered about the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and he said that it's a good approach - looking at the type of ground that the building is on. But then again, the supports of said building would not be able to take the pressure exerted by the leaning building and then break anyway and collapse upon itself, rather than fall on another building.
Sometimes, it's rather fun to have an engineer for a boyfriend.
... Damnit.
