I was watching Bones' Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood latest episode before going on to drift towards the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood OVAs. I watched Simple People and Tales of the Master; both bordering on hilarious but the former being a little more serious and thought-provoking than the latter, which simply describes how Izumi Curtis became, well Izumi Curtis and how she became an alchemist. The best moment in that little episode is the part after the credits, which they play an exaggerated version of how Sig and Izumi met. I laughed out loud here, because it was terribly hilarious and oh-so-Hiromu-Arakawa-style but the really rib-cracking humour came later...
Apparently, Bones went ahead and animated all of Fullmetal Alchemist's little random omake moments, called 4koma because they're in four panels. Someone on Youtube very kindly compiled a set of them and though I didn't understand a lot of what was said, I'd have to say that the animation of the whole thing is enough to make me curl up in laughter and want to die of epic win.

There are actually others out there but they're more of the single 4koma moments that show directly after each episode. The one that I really like out of all of them is the part where Hughes calls Mustang, only to receive a recorded message, where he hears this:

I want this as my ringtone. I laughed so hard when I heard this. It was so in-character, so Mustang, so Hiromu Arakawa and so totally random in a very serious and upsetting episode that I just wanted to die laughing. Not to mention that Hughes' expression was priceless - so much so that even Envy was startled at how he reacted.
But the thing that kept me laughing was imagining Shinichirou Miki actually doing this part. He'd probably be snapping his fingers too.
And the endings are so cute! You'll hear the characters go "jyan jagga jyan jagga jyan jagga jyan jyan!" or something to that effect. Now I'm torn between getting this as my ringtone or hearing Mustang recite to himself whenever someone calls me.
Now all I'm waiting for is some kind soul to translate and sub the whole thing so that I can truly enjoy all the random 4koma that Hiromu Arakawa has done in the name of Fullmetal Alchemist.
Eh my birthday wishlist is also up. Somewhere... Ufufufufu find it yourself. >D
