Resignation - Day 12 of 21
So, before work yesterday, my parents sat me down to discuss my choice of leaving work without first having another job. My dad was more or less articulate about why he was concerned and disappointed in my choice while my mom was less constructive. Both seemed unable/unwilling to believe that this would end any way but poorly but Mom crossed a line when she implied I was only doing this because Erek had talked me into it or put pressure on me to do so. I told her flat out that this is about me and me quitting my job and she needed to leave Erek out of it because he didn't do anything to affect my decision other than say he would support me in whatever decision I made.
All it didn't end in a screaming match so bully to communication skills, but I think all I can do is agree to disagree while they agree to be miffed at me for a while.
On an unrelated note to the trials and tribulations of my life I was made aware of a clip with Dan Radcliffe in a show called Extras. It's basically about the life of a movie extra and all the major stars he sees and how bizarre they are. It's totally disturbing and hilarious but I have to say Dan is not just a great actor but he has a great sense of humor about himself.
