Real life catch-up
Sorry for the long absence to anyone who has been missing me around Livejournal. I’ve been having update apathy because things have just been kind of hectic when they aren’t amazingly dull.
Erek found a new job as a receptionist and we found a spacious apartment in North Chicago to set up house. Mostly it’s a nice place. Things that add to its quirky charm are:
- A bedroom door that won’t shut
- A bathroom door that will shut if you kick its ass
- A ceiling fan that’s about to fly loose and decapitate someone if turned on
- A stove so old it might burn wood
- Heating that seems to come on once a week
I’ll be calling today to see if I can’t sort out a few of these issues, but all and all I think the place is really nice for the rent we’re paying on it
So, that’s where I’ve been for the past 3 weeks - helping Erek move. My writing has been non-existent since all my freetime has been tied up into finding and setting up an apartment. Now that things are settling I’m going to try to find myself a job (with my posh Chicago address) and get back to authoring something or another.
