Well...I said I would post again when I knew more about my uncle. It's not much yet...

Apparently he went to the emergency room or urgent care Thursday morning. They said he was having pains and muscle spasms on the right side of his body. They prescribed him some valium and let him go home. Told him to take those and rest.

He took 2 when he got home, and then another three at dinner.

Carey said he finally went to bed around 11.

She said when she woke up in the morning he was laying in an odd position, but she didn't think anything of it, and went about her morning.

When he didn't get up to go to work she went in to check on him and realized that he was dead.

Sometime between dinner and the morning he took 2 more valiums. A total of 7 for the day.

Not sure now if it was an accidental overdose, or if he had a stroke and was in such a deep sleep from the meds that he didn't feel it and wake up. There will be an autopsy on Monday.

His kids dont understand. I didn't think they really would, they're 5 and 8. They know that daddy died, but they don't really understand the concept of death. My mom says that when everyone was up there for Carey, the kids were just acting like typical kids. Carey and a few other relatives were taking all the bed sheets and everything out of the bedroom and she didn't want the kids going in there yet. The 5 year old made a comment along the lines of "Why can't I see, did all his skin fall off?" Another one of my relatives tried explaining to him that no daddy looks the same as he did last night when you saw him. Then he said "But how? when they go to the grave it's only bones."

I don't think they'll really understand until they realize that daddy isn't coming home.
