Featuring exactly 100 images, 5 videos, and 11 quotes from the man himself. Mild spoilers for Doctor Who Christmas episodes 2009, The End of Time Parts 1 and 2.

OBLIGATORY PHOTO #2
now we've got the ~obligatory~ ones out of the way, let's have some proper fun.
I was very small, about 3 or 4 I think, and just wanted to be the people on telly telling these wonderful stories. Obviously the idea grew and matured with me but I can`t ever remember wanting to do anything else.
young and geektastic: Takin' Over the Asylum, 1994
That's the nature of being a teenager. It felt awkward and ugly and different. I felt uncool to the depths of my soul and I've never really recovered from that - I still think I'm uncool.
keeping him young, vigorous, and inexorably Scottish
keeping the awful haircut; Bright Young Things, 2003
my first introduction; He Knew He Was Right, 2004

working the uniform; Traffic Warden, 2004
So the picture's terrible, but the whole thing's on YouTube! Worth a watch if you've got the time to spare, subtler than it looks and sweet, too.

not-quite-in-uniform; Blackpool, 2004
apparently, this is nigh-on impossible to find pictures of, so have bonus ice cream porn. (Don't let the singing put you off this show, if you ever get the chance to watch it.)

the leading lady man; Casanova, 2005
It's fast, furious, funny and crazy. I don't think it's a Casanova that people will expect. He's not a lounge lizard, a Lothario or a lady's man - he's a livewire, a free spirit, and people become attracted to that. He's almost an innocent, a puppy dog with all this energy and fizz about him.
(with Nina Sosanya, later to star with him in Doctor Who episode 2x11, Fear Her, and Laura Fraser, best known for A Knight's Tale)
2005; David Tennant cast as the 10th Doctor in Doctor Who.
There is something about the type of imagination that powers Doctor Who. That sweeps up viewers and inspires them in unexpected ways. Something about its mix of the fantastic and the mundane, the far flung with the domestic that is unlike anything else.
(on-set shenanigans with BARROWMAN!!)
(yes, he does rather get into his roles, doesn't he?)
(Donna! ♥)
After [Catherine Tate’s] first day, I was a bit worried that we hadn't made enough of a fuss of her! Because she slotted in so utterly seamlessly. I just thought, 'I really hope Catherine's aware of how thrilled we are to have her back on set and how much fun it is'. She's so great to play off and act with. It's such a new dynamic to the show.
(more BARROWMAN!!)

In January I go back to make four new specials which take Doctor Who through to the end of 2009, but when Doctor Who returns in 2010, it won't be with me. The 2009 shows will be my last playing the Doctor. If I don't take a deep breath now and move on, I never will. I think it's best I don't outstay my welcome.
revealing himself to be as good a psychopath as John Simm; Secret Smile, 2005
(I only watched part of this on YouTube, but I seem to remember something about him being with both sisters and general fucked-uppery.)

(if that wasn't enough, have the video of it, too.)
major on-screen appearance; Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, 2005
back to the Scottish accent; Learners, 2007

even greater neekery; Einstein and Eddington, 2008
In some ways he is a great, forgotten man, which is why this is an intriguing story to tell. There is one biography which I found and that was very helpful, although there are elements of his private life which are skirted around. The story we tell is of a man who couldn't quite face the fact that he was gay.
conscience does make cowards of us all; Hamlet, stage 2008, TV adaptation 2009
(proving that,
unlike John Simm, he can pull off a beanie)
(... is it wrong this is sort of attractive on him?)
(surely I don't need to spell out the pipe euphemism here, right?)
er, lol, what? Catherine Tate appearance, Christmas 2009.

and, with no further ado, his first honest-to-God appearance, the man himself.

HOLD UP. The mathematical laws of the universe DEMAND that
the naked picture is number 69.
Warning; NOT SAFE FOR WORK (hence link rather than picture) as it features him bloody starkers.
(yes, people, that really is him.
In 1995, Tennant appeared at the Royal National Theatre, London, playing the role of Nicholas Beckett in Joe Orton's What the Butler Saw.
The plot required Tennant to appear near-naked on stage, wearing nothing but a police hat.

other appearances;
I do have more speeding points than are entirely practical - but that's only because I'm up and down on the M4 to Cardiff a lot. They have draconian speeding fines. There'll have been some work going on three weeks previously, so there's one sign saying 'You should be going at 50 miles an hour here' and then 18 cameras to make sure that when inevitably you don't, with nobody else on the road at 3am, they can charge you hundreds and hundreds of pounds for the privilege. Listen, I've just got far too many speeding points. What can I do to defend myself? It's my fault.
(I know it's obsessive to have three pictures but for some reason I find it INSANELY ADORABLE)
(this, apparently, was something he did for the FridayNightNews. Or something. Do we need to question it? Really?)
(I'm either insanely attracted or terrified by this, I can't quite work out which.)
(I LOVE THIS SUIT.)
(STORMTROOPER T-SHIRT!)
It is a fact that sprinkling a bit of celebrity over certain causes probably can make a difference. And maybe it's pompous to sit at home thinking that I want to preserve my integrity when, actually, if you waved a wee flag for something, it might make a few quid for a worthy cause.
(... I'm saying nothing.)
(The Friday Night Projects are a MUST-SEE if you can get hold of them :D)
Well, I'm not sure what to say about being called the sexiest actor of the year. I'm very flattered and somewhat bewildered. All I know is that I voted for John Barrowman.
(THIS BUZZCOCKS EPISODE TRANSCENDED AWESOMENESS.)
(Too cool for chairs!)
(OMG STOMACH STOMACH STOMACH)

(BACKGROUND JOHN SIMM!)
[On kissing John Barrowman at the con]: The moment was right and I felt it was appropriate at the time. It’s something you know you’ll get a headline back home for.
