I love this fic., why would I not ensure that it got onto the nominations list?!
For srs, though. I may have had a little flail myself when I spotted the banner, and kind of threw myself at the link. I love how Belvedere has kind of accepted that Merlin's a little mad, and he tends to talk to himself. And Merlin getting bored with all that riding. And and and. And Arthur, just in general.
You're the lovely person behind all the nominations, aren't you!? I just want to say a biiig thank you for putting all this effort into making the awards, because it makes silly authors like me feel very very happy.
Belvedere has to put up with a lot of crap. He's a bit like a less-abused Arthur ^_^
I just wanted to quibble a point over the MAFAs which might not be important... technically this isn't a WIP, I'm just staggering the release of the updates.I don't know what else it could come under, though, so it shouldn't really matter. I know you're totally busy with all the nonsense going on so I'm really not bothered either way :)
I kind of get obsessive over things like awards - this afternoon I started making plans for organising the Merlin Big Bang, then I got told to stop it. You're quite welcome.
Belvedere is awesome. Plus, he has a twin called Fred. I want him to be in the show.
Um - would you like me to swap it to the Chapter category? It would fit in there quite easily, if you'd prefer rather than WIP.
You see, now Bedivere will pop up, and several people will start complaining that no thanks, they'd prefer Belvedere please. He's more fun and he puts up with Merlin.
Belvedere's origins - and actually the idea for this whole story - was me sitting on the bus and seeing a "Belvedere Drive" and thinking hang on, wasn't that Arthur's Knight? Maybe I just have Merlin on the brain.... I certainly prefer him to Bedivere, who (if he's anything like Lancelot) will just be a bit of an irritating wuss.
The thing I love most about Belvedere is his gloomy acceptance that most people have heard of Bedivere and not him. Poor thing. What does he look like, incidentally? You've probably got a clear picture of him in your head but I can't remember actually reading a description, and so now I always imagine Monty Python's Bedivere for some reason. It's terribly annoying.
I've been thinking about it all day, and the thing is I don't really have a picture of him. A voice, yes, but not really an image. I suppose he'd look a little like Sean Biggerstaff (probably best known for his portrayal of Oliver Wood in Harry Potter) add about ten years? I tend not to put in descriptions, a) because I often don't get pictures in my head and, b) because I'm lazy. I tend to put this under the pretense that I let people make their own pictures.

I have an awful lot of love for this, and you.
Thank you! ♥

I keep thinking he'll pop up in the show sometime... it's really disconcerting.
I thought about it; I reckon it's probably better off where it is. Ignore my ramblings. XD
