Rent
I was trying to find out more information about apartments available in Eugene for fairly cheap, 1 or 2 bedrooms. First I looked in this pamphlet from the Emerald a long time ago and found lots of plausible ones, and was going to call places and ask what was still available and write down the information, but somehow I chickened out and decided not to do that and to try to search the internet instead. So I wrote down a list of websites of the places I had looked at, and then, to combat the slowness of dial-up internet (curses!) I opened each website in a separate window. Then I went and made myself some soup while I waited for them all to load. Seriously. Then I found quite a few places that were within my rather vague, subjective, undefined price range, and in reasonably good locations. But then, what do I do??!?!!! It seems silly to call because I've promised Lucy I'll wait until July 31st for her to get a job, and if she doesn't have one by then, then I can take action towards getting my own one-bedroom apartment. And I can't really call about a two-bedroom one, either, because Lucy still doesn't have a job, so I can't live with her yet. It just feels like there's a lot out there, and I'd like to get started figuring out where I'm going to live, but I can't until Lucy gets a job or until August 1st, and anyway I don't really know where to start. It's frustrating. Lucy, keep in mind that if I wait around for the rest of the month for you to get a job, and then you don't get one, I'm going to be kind of pissed off that I wasted half the summer waiting around for you and set myself back on getting my own place. Also, I would like it if you would get a job. But we've been over that.
I want something to HAPPEN! SOON!
Meanwhile, in the near future, albeit I am still living with my parents, several really awesome things are happening.

~Possibly more time with Sean and other nerds
~NATIONAL 7/11 DAY! FREE SLURPEES AT ALL 7/11 LOCATIONS!!!!
~I start working regularly again for two weeks
~HARRY POTTER MOVIE!!!!!!!
Also, until tomorrow, I have nothing to do but play the Sims 3 and Harry Potter 1, mess around organizing stuff on my laptop, rock out, and read His Dark Materials lit crit.
