I've found out about this guy, Phil Ochs, a while ago. The "singing journalist" he called himself. He was a contemporary of Bob Dylan and Nick Drake *Winks to the only person who reads this LJ that's a Nick Drake freak :P ;D*. Now, I personally don't like Dylan or Lennon, then again, this could be because I never bothered much with them, but oh well. Phil Ochs, on the other hand, I fucking loved. Especially considering the times, his biting socio/political criticisms and cynical atittude is something I can relate to. Even Dylan said that he couldn't keep up with him, and that he just kept getting better and better.
